ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2017 <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Amundson called the regular meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> INVOCATION — Pastor George Hopper, Church of the Good Shephard <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Dale Carter, Leadership Academy Graduate <br /> ROLL CALL OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> PRESENT: Beck, Chandler, Verlato, Tay, and Amundson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> REPORT FROM CITY ATTORNEY REGARDING CLOSED/STUDY SESSION ITEMS <br /> City Attorney Deitsch reported that prior to the regular meeting, the City Council conducted a <br /> Special Meeting to discuss the two items listed on the posted agenda under Closed Session, no <br /> reportable action was taken. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM CITY MANAGER REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS <br /> City Manager Lazzaretto stated there was no supplemental agenda information; however, noted <br /> that two Public Comment Cards were received relating to Consent Calendar item 2a (meeting <br /> minutes); and a request that the Public Comment period be moved prior to the Public Hearing in <br /> order to accommodate the transit schedule. <br /> MOTION TO READ ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY TITLE ONLY AND WAIVE <br /> THE READING IN FULL <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tern Tay and seconded by Council Member Chandler to read <br /> all ordinances and resolutions by title only and waive the reading in full. <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> a. Presentation of adoptable dog by the Pasadena Humane Society. <br /> b. Presentation by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation <br /> ("LAEDC") recognizing Arcadia as a finalist for the 2017 Most Business Friendly <br /> City in L.A. County. <br /> c. Presentation of Proclamation to Arcadia Festival of Bands Chairpersons Jim Larsh <br /> and Maria Sansui, Arcadia High School Band Directors Seth Murphy and Kevin <br /> Sherrill, and Arcadia High School Drum Major Ana Cho. <br /> d. Presentation of Mayor's Certificates of Commendation to the participants of the <br /> 2017 Leadership Academy. <br /> 1 11-07-2017 <br />
